Presentation Flyer for C&K Smoke Spray

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this portfolio. I haven’t had much motivation for updating my portfolio or any luck in finding a career in a creative field such as graphic or web design – until a few months ago.

I found a new job (completely unrelated to what I went to school, mind you) and along with that a coworker with a side gig in need of a graphic designer. Not only that, this past fall I went back to school and earned a certificate in Digital Marketing, so in future posts you may see some skills in online marketing along with what’s been already presented on this site.

Early on, I got permission to present this and other projects on my portfolio. This was a presentation flyer my coworker needed for an event. I took most of the photos of his products except for the one in the back page, so I worked with what I had and put it all together on Krita – an open source image editor similar to Photoshop.

The rough sketches below were done by my coworker. Contact information is censored for privacy concerns.

Below are the photographs of sample products I was provided to use. I used white poster boards to use as a background that I could easily edit out later.

Initial photos of products shown on the flyer.

Edited photos of products for the final flyer and other projects.

The logo was derived and edited from a design that was made by someone else. I got the logo from a photograph my client took of one of his store displays and I edited said photo to create a high-definition file to use.

The leather texture was a fair use download that was edited to have multiple shades of brown. The premium seal is also a fair use image. I used the Century, Copperplate Gothic, and Bahnschrift fonts for both pages. I used Krita’s gradient tool to create the red-to-white background.
