It’s been a while since I’ve updated this portfolio. I haven’t had much motivation for updating my portfolio or any luck in finding a career in a creative field such as graphic or web design – until a few months ago.
I found a new job (completely unrelated to what I went to school, mind you) and along with that a coworker with a side gig in need of an online store. Not only that, this past fall I also went back to school and earned a certificate in Digital Marketing, so this post will be updated in the future to show skills in online marketing. Most of the work on the commissioned website itself is completed, and as of now I’m focusing my sights on setting up online campaigns and marketing strategies with Google Ads and MailChimp. With that in mind, the first things I will cover in this post will mostly involve creating the website and graphics.
Web Design
Just like this portfolio, I also built the website using WordPress. I used the Aether theme and tweaked its appearance to better suit my clients color preferences. Below are some screenshots of the website on desktop and emulated mobile screens. If you want to see the site itself rather than just screenshots, the link is right here: https://ckpremiumspray.com/
Graphic Design
Next up are some logo designs. The first one in this gallery was derived and edited from a design that was made by someone else. I got it from a photograph my client took of one of his store displays and I edited said photo to create a high-definition file to use for the website.
Below are some prototype designs for the green logo.
Product Images
The next section shows photographs of sample products I was provided to use. I used white poster boards to use as a background that I could edit out later on Photopea – a free online photo editor similar to Photoshop.
